Before your first visit, please complete our patient forms located in the New Patient Center. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition.
At your first visit, you will have a consultation with Dr. Chase Walters to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Walters to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.
After your consultation, Dr. Walters will perform a complete chiropractic examination to test your reflexes and flexibility. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed as well.
Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays as well. X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions.
After reviewing your health history, goals, and X-rays, Dr. Walters will provide a detailed report of findings. He will discuss desired treatment goals with you and make recommendations for treatment and/or referrals. If Dr. Walters feels that your condition requires care with other providers., he will explain why and make recommendations for referrals.
Dr. Walters will review your treatment plan, which is based on your exam from your first visit and desired treatment goals discussed at your second visit. He will review your starting point and and your goal. You will learn about your course of care: how often, how long, co-treatments involved such as physical therapy or other physicians, rehabilitation and therapies.You will start care on your third visit.
Your treatment plan will outline your course of care and answer questions such as:
• How can you help me?
• How often do I need to come in?
• What will my treatment cost?
Everything is discussed with a game plan up front so that there are no surprises and everyone is on same page for care.
Dr. Walters can provide you with a wellness program to incorporate outside of treatment. If you are in pain when you first come into our office this may include: ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and at-home exercises and/or stretches. We can work with you also to create healthy habits and routines for your lifestyle. Every person is unique, and everyone requires a customized wellness plan. We want to help you achieve good spinal alignment, have a healthy diet, exercise, and maintain a positive mental state.
